What Is King Maker?
King Maker is a a modification based during The Wars of The
Roses. That being a period of civil unrest in Northern England from 1455 until 1487. The two raging kingdoms were The House of Lancaster and The House of York.
King Maker is meant to re-construct this time of civil
unrest and balance of powers. As you will notice, there aren't any
dragons or wizards, only period-appropriate weapons, armour, and
battle settings.

Is King Maker For Half-Life, or Half-Life II?
King Maker will start out as a Half-Life modification, which will be a more simple (and as bug-free as possible) version. This is meant to give the team and mod a foothold to use to build up and become a better game, providing more features, more substance and an overall better gameplay in kingmaker for Half-Life 2.

Is King Maker Single Player Or Multi Player?
For now we're only planning a
multi-player version of King Maker. But, maybe down the
road we'll find some extra time and make a single player version,
you'll just have to wait and see I guess!

Can I Use Magic And Spells?
Simply put... No, you cannot. Many people firmly believe in the
power of magic, unfortunately there is no historical record of any
such magic being used in any battle during the Wars of the Roses.

How Do I Receive Better Weapons / Armour?
New and better types of weapons and armour will become available as
the battles progress. With every kill you accomplish, you ear more
prestige, which then allows you to advance to better weapons and
have stronger armour.

What Type Of Settings Are The Levels In?
Our Historian and Level Designers are hard at work researching
historical battle areas, viewing paintings and artist renditions
of the battles, so all area's will be as close as can be
represented in 3D. Such area's will include small villages, towns,
forests, countryside, and of course castle sieges. If you have any
suggestions or recommendations on battles and preferred maps,
please don't hesitate to visit our forums
and tell us about it!

I Want To Join The Team, So Can I?
Of course you can! King Maker is always interested in
having more help to speed along our development process. Although,
not everybody can be accepted due to lack of qualifications, or
possibly already too many team members with the qualification you
have. So, to simply the process, below is a list of jobs that need
filling here at King Maker:
- C++ Programmer (Light & Heavy Duty)
- Weapons & Character Animator
- Weapons & Character Skinner
- Texture Artist
If you feel you poses one (or more) of
those skills, then there's a good chance you will be accepted.
Requirements for being on the King Maker team are rather
simple. You must be a dedicated worker, respectful to your fellow
team members and the community, and be good at what you do.
To see if you can make it on the team, you can either stop by our Forums
and post in the Help Wanted section, find either Sam or Sgt_Pepper on IRC,
or e-mail one of the 3
leaders (Information on the Team Page).
Be prepared to show examples of previous work.
